PATTERN: BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HEAD SILHOUETTE. AGE / DATE CODE: N/A. DESCRIPTION: This is a RARE porcelain sectional grill plate once used at the Poor Richard’s Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Likely manufactured in the 1920s or 1930s. White body with blue and orange coin bands. Benjamin Franklin silhouette at twelve o’clock and “PR” logo at six o’clock. We discovered this plate in Roanoke, Virginia. A nice addition to your restaurant ware or hotel ware collection! CONDITION DETAILS: GOOD to VERY GOOD. Scattered color loss on coin band transfers. COPPEE MITCHELL LODGE NO. ITEM: ONE (1) LOVING CUP. ORIGIN / LOGO: BETHLEHEM CLUB. Our research suggests that this platter was used at Bethlehem Club, a social club for steel mill executives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, that opened in 1909 and closed its doors in 2007. DATE CODE / AGE: 1913. 7-3/4″ tall; 4-1/4″ opening diameter. DESCRIPTION: This is a RARE loving cup manufactured for E. Coppee Mitchell Lodge No. 605, a Masonic lodge once located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! This is a Blue Lodge three-handled loving cup. Measures 7-3/4″ tall and 4-1/4″ across the throat. Transfer printed on first panel: E. Coppee Mitchell Lodge / No. Transfer printed on second panel is an exterior image of the lodge building, the Grand Lodge building, located at One North Broad Street. Transfer printed on the third panel: WORSHIPFUL MASTER, / Charles. MacBride / SENIOR WARDEN, / John F. Hicks / JUNIOR WARDEN, / Guy H. Gold coin band at rim and base. Made of pottery or porcelain. We discovered this item in Norfolk, Virginia. This will make a great centerpiece for your curio cabinet or China closet.
