Our research suggests that this platter was used at Bethlehem Club, a social club for steel mill executives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, that opened in 1909 and closed its doors in 2007. DATE CODE / AGE: 1913. 7-3/4″ tall; 4-1/4″ opening diameter. DESCRIPTION: This is a RARE loving cup manufactured for E. Coppee Mitchell Lodge No. 605, a Masonic lodge once located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! This is a Blue Lodge three-handled loving cup. Measures 7-3/4″ tall and 4-1/4″ across the throat. Transfer printed on first panel: E. Coppee Mitchell Lodge / No. Transfer printed on second panel is an exterior image of the lodge building, the Grand Lodge building, located at One North Broad Street. Transfer printed on the third panel: WORSHIPFUL MASTER, / Charles. MacBride / SENIOR WARDEN, / John F. Hicks / JUNIOR WARDEN, / Guy H. Gold coin band at rim and base. Made of pottery or porcelain.
