These are Guaranteed to be Original Shenango Restaurant Ware. The rim is embossed scalloped with an embossed line that follows the scalloping. The base has the Shenango China New Castle Pa mark and code’H15′ that dates these to 1957. Some dinnerware admirers attribute the design pattern of the china on the Continental shape to the artist Richard Koppe who designed all the murals and sculpture in the Well Of the Sea restaurant in the Famous Sherman Hotel in Chicago.
