An exceptionally legible, highly detailed top logo graces the rim of this earlier 1900s bright white china plate from Poland Springs, in Maine. Almost certainly this was used at the Poland Spring House Resort, which was at this time owned by the Maine Central Railroad. All decoration is in dark green. This is good, heavy commercial restaurant ware weight china, in extremely nice with only light surface marks and only a very few spots that suggest any kind of age darkening. Absolutely NO cracks, chips, flakes, crazing or repairs. SIZE is 7-1/2 inches across.

Circa 1897 – 1910s. HOTEL WARE / RESTAURANT WARE. ITEM: ONE (1) RESTAURANT WARE SIDE BOWL / BAKER with HISTORICAL TRANSFER. LOGO / ORIGIN: RED LION INN. / JMS, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS. Possibly manufactured in England by Wedgwood and imported with JMS mark. DATE CODE / AGE: N/A. We discovered this bowl in California. A great gift for anyone who spent a honeymoon or other special occasion at the hotel, or as an addition to your hotel ware or restaurant ware collection! SIZE: 6-6/8″ WIDE and 5″ ACROSS.
