Up for your consideration are these RARE FOUR ROYCROFT RENAISSANCE ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE BUFFALO CHINA SALAD PLATES 302A. They measure approximately 7 1/8″ across x 1″ high and are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are some very light utensil marks. Made by Buffalo China for the Roycroft Inn in Aurora, New York – home of the Roycroft Arts and Crafts Community that helped to usher in the Arts and Crafts movement in American design. Elbert Hubbard, founder of the Roycroft Arts and Crafts Community, died along with his wife in the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915 after it was torpedoed by a German U-boat.
