Mid Century WALLACE CHINA Restaurant Ware. 4 8 Plates marked Californian Pattern. 4 6 1/2 Bowls marked Desert Ware. Californian Pattern Plates 5-S are from 1951. 10-Y & and 11-Y. SUPER RARE Wallace Restaurant Ware! HEAVY restaurant china in shades of tan with burgundy/brown borders. The borders have the torch, swag, scroll, Greek key & trumpet design. Note the bowl and plates date from different eras, with the tan china shade slightly different see photo #2. Showing the similar overall usage. Hard to find this pattern restaurant patron & family usage, then stored for many years. No cracks, hairlines or crazing. The border colors are bright with minimal color wear. All 8 pieces show about the same overall usage, particularly heavy utensil marks throughout food surface resulting in dulling to topside glaze. All pieces show maker’s production imperfections: firing pin marks, mineral deposits, irregular glaze application, rough unglazed base edges. There are a few smooth bites to bottom with glaze in and around them some may consider chips, though I see them from production. I circled imperfections that seem to be outside of the firing pin areas, though with the plates they’re in same general area. Tried to show representative of overall utensil marks in photo #9 using a tactical light to highlight them. No stock photos, all photos depict tops & bottoms of each of the 8 pieces you will receive. Weights & measurements shown in photo #7. I tried to show the subtle difference in the shades of tan between the bowls & plates in photo #2.
