Vintage El Mirador Hotel Palm Springs CA (1) Bread Plate Vintage 7 1/2 1960s. The El Mirador Hotel was a destination resort for many famous celebrities for many years as it is less than a two hour drive to Palm Springs. It finally closed it’s doors in 1973. The main tower is an icon and now is on the property of Desert Reginal Medical Center. The property really has quite an interesting history.
